El servicio de música online Napster anunció el miércoles una pérdida en su tercer trimestre, pero aclaró que ha aumentado el número de suscriptores y mejoró su perspectiva de ingresos para el año...
Napster anunció una pérdida de 16,4 millones de dólares, ó 47 centavos por acción, frente a ingresos de 12,1 millones de dólares en el tercer trimestre finalizado el 31 de diciembre.
Durante el trimestre, la compañía completó la venta de su división de software Roxio a Sonic Solutions.
Los analistas esperaban de media que Napster anunciara una pérdida de 44 centavos por acción, sobre ingresos por 15,3 millones de dólares, según Reuters Estimates.
La compañía con sede en Los Angeles pronosticó que en el cuarto trimestre sus ingresos crecerán a 14 millones de dólares, y revisó al alza su estimación de ingresos para todo el año a 43 millones, desde un previo de entre 35 y 40 millones.
