CNN+. La delincuencia informática ha crecido en España de forma exponencial desde el año 2000, de forma que en cada uno de los cuatro últimos años se han multiplicado por dos las actuaciones del Grupo de Delitos Telemáticos de la Guardia Civil en este ámbito.
El comandante jefe de este Grupo, Juan Salom, ha asegurado que el año 2004 se saldó con unas 200 actuaciones referidas a estafas y fraudes informáticos, piratería y pornografía infantil en la red y a virus informáticos, en las que se detuvo a treinta personas.
La pornografía infantil, según Salom, es un "goteo constante" en la que la Guardia Civil recibe "tantas denuncias" que "no damos abasto".
En el caso de las estafas y fraudes en la red, Salom ha apuntado que "el tráfico de datos por Internet, como la banca y el comercio electrónicos, es absolutamente seguro", pero el problema viene fundamentalmente a través del espionaje de datos, cuando los ordenadores no están asegurados contra los virus.
